BMW has released the details and photos of the new 2009 BMW 760i and of the 2009 BMW 760Li (the long wheelbase version). The 2009 BMW 760i and of the 2009 BMW 760Li are powered by a new 6.0 liter twin-turbo 12-cylinder engine with gasoline direct injection that develops 400 kW/544 hp at 5,000 rpm and 750 Nm of torque. The engine that powers the 2009 BMW 760i and the 2009 BMW 760Li is coupled, for the first time, with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
In comparison the 2009 BMW 760Li has a 14 centimeters longer wheelbase than the 2009 BMW 760i (and the standard 2009 BMW 7 Series).
The 2009 BMW 760i is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, has a fuel consumption of 12.9 liters per 100 kilometers and complies with the Euro 5 emissions standard.
