BMW has revealed today the new 2012 6 Series Coupe, releasing details, images and videos of both of its versions, the 2012 650i Coupe and the 2012 640i Coupe. The 2012 BMW 650i Coupe will be sold both in the USA and on the European market, however, the 2012 BMW 640i Coupe will be available at first on the EU market only. BMW's new, 2012 6 Series Coupe comes with major styling upgrades together with revised engines, and loads of new technology.

BMW's 2012 6 Series Coupe is a 2+2 seater sports car, that has a 75 millimeters longer wheelbase than its predecessor, 39 mm wider and 5 mm lower. The second generation BMW 6 Series Coupe features a newly developed chassis, Electric Power Steering and as an option, Integral Active

Steering. As standard, the 2012 BMW 6 Series Coupe is fitted with Drive Dynamic Control, but the Adaptive Drive and Dynamic Damper Control systems are optional.

The top of the range 2012 6 Series coupe Bimmer, the 650i, is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 petrol engine equipped with TwinPower Turbo technology and High Precision Injection direct injection. the output of the 2012 BMW 650i coupe is officially rated at 300 kW/407 hp at 5,500 – 6,400 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 1,750 – 4,500 rpm. With this engine, the Bimmer can get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph)



in 4.9 seconds and up to a limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). In terms of efficiency, the 2012 650i coupe offers a 10.4 litres/100 kilometers (27.2 mpg imp) fuel consumption and a 243 g/km CO2 emissions level, which EU5 compliant.

The 2012 BMW 640i Coupe is powered by a 3.0-liter Six-cylinder in-line petrol engine, also equipped with a twin turbo system and direct injection, together with VALVETRONIC. BMW's new 2012 640i coupe can get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.4 seconds and has the same limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). These performance numbers are possible with an output of

235 kW/320 hp at 5,800 rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 1,300 – 4,500 rpm. BMW's 2012 640i coupe has a fuel consumption of 7.7 litres/100 kilometers (36.7 mpg imp) and a CO2 emissions level of 179 g/km, which is also Euro V compliant.

The 2012 BMW 6 Series Coupe price list has not been announced yet.
