BMW announced today that they will make the 2012 BMW 6 Series coupe / convertible available on the USA market with an optional all-wheel-drive system. The AWD BMW 650i xDrive coupe and convertible will soon go on sale, with a price starting at $86,000 MSRP. Both versions of BMW's 650i xDrive, the hard-top and the cabrio, will be powered by the same 4.4-liter V-8 engine, which outputs 400 hp between 5,500 and 6,400 rpm and 450 lb-ft of torque between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. The rear-wheel-drive version of the 2012 650i is able to get from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds, however, the AWD version is a bit slower, because the intelligent all-wheel-drive adds quite a bit of extra weight. requires 4.7 seconds to reach the same speed. both versions of the BMW 650i xDrive has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. The fuel consumption and the CO2 emission level of the new 650i x Drive Bimmer have not been announced yet.

The BMW 650i xDrive price list starts at $86,000 MSRP for the hard-top coupe model and at $93,500 MSRP for the convertible version. This is the base price, so any other optional extra will increase the cost of the car.
