The facelifted, 2012 version of the Soul had its premiere at the NY auto show back in April, and today, Kia is announcing its price list, as the new version is going on sale. The 2012 Kia Soul facelift will be available with a choice between a 2.0-liter engine, developing 164 hp (22 hp more than the previous version), and a 1.6-liter engine, developing 138 hp (16 hp more than before). Kia equips the 2012 Soul with gasoline direct injection (GDI), which reduces the car's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and with a 6-speed manual an automatic transmission. Thanks to Kia's new Idle Stop and Go (ISG) technology, the 2012 Soul will have a 35 mpg fuel consumption.

Some of the new features of the 2012 Soul include a tilt and telescoping steering column,

Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).

The 2012 Kia Soul price list starts at $13,900 USD for the manual version, while the automatic model (A/T) will cost you at least $15,700 USD. The top of the range 2012 Soul, the Soul! (Exclaim), is priced from under $20,000 USD and comes with loads of equipment. LED lights, 18-inch alloys, the Microsoft-powered UVO voice-activated infotainment system, a 4.3-inch color touch screen and rear camera display and the 350-watt seven-speaker Infinity audio system are all standard on the 2012 Kia Soul!.

Kia will make the 2012 version of the model available in three trim levels: Soul, Soul+ (plus) and Soul!.
