2012 Moab Easter Safari Jeep Concepts

Jeep and Mopar revealed the six concepts they're going to unveil at the 46th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari (2012). The concepts are based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee and on the Wrangler, but they also include two special vehicles: the Mighty FC and the J-12. The Jeep Wrangler Apache, which is probably our favorite, is powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, which outputs a massive 470 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The Wrangler Apache also features Mopar Pro 60 5.13 front and rear axles, and a 4.5-inch Stage 3 long arm lift kit. The V8 conversion kit for the Wrangler will be available this summer.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is optimized for off-road duty. It features a Quadra-Lift air suspension, a Selec-Terrain traction control system, and the Quadra-Drive II system with a rear Electronic Limited-slip Differential (ELSD).

The Jeep Mighty FC looks like something that came out of the cold war. It's actually a modern version of the Jeep Forward Control, which was built from 1956 to 1965. The new Mighty FC concept is based on the Mighty FC concept, which has received a longer wheelbase, and a custom built drop-side cargo box.

The Jeep J-12 is basically a longer version of the JK-8 pickup. Based on the 2012 Wrangler Unlimited, the Jeep J-12 has an 18-inch longer frame, a custom hood and modified fenders.

The Jeep Wrangler Traildozer was developed in collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) and it's powered by a 470 hp 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. It features Dana 44 axles equipped with 4:10 gears and electronic locking differentials, as well as a Getrag 238 six-speed manual gearbox.

The 2012 Moab Easter Safari Jeep concepts will be premiered on March 31.
