Jeep revealed at the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit the new generation 2014 Grand Cherokee, which comes with updated looks and upgraded technology. As far as the exterior design goes, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee features a new set of headlights with integrated LED DRLs, a new front bumper, and a modified grille. Its rear end has also been restyled. The new Grand Cherokee (2014) has LED rear lights, a new tailgate and a re-designed bumper with integrated exhaust pipes. Jeep completely redesigned the 2014 Grand Cherokee's interior too. The SUV, which now features higher quality materials, comes with a new center console, a re-styled steering wheel and new dials.

The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee is going to be sold with a choice between three engines, including a new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 unit that develops 240 hp and a massive 420 lb.-ft. of torque. This new engine promises a fuel economy of 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. Jeep will also sell the new Grand Cherokee (2014) with either a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 (290 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque) or a 5.7-liter V8 (360 hp and 390 lb.-ft. of torque). The Grand Cherokee (2014) is available with a new 8-speed automatic transmission that promises a lower crawl ratio for the 4x4 versions of the SUV.



The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee comes equipped with a Quadra-Lift air suspension and the carmaker's Selec-Terrain traction management system with a new Selec-Speed Control. Jeep says they equip the 2014 Grand Cherokee with more than 60 advanced safety and security features. The equipment list of the new Grand Cherokee (2014) includes a new 8.4-inch touchscreen display, a 7-inch customer configurable multiview cluster display, Uconnect Access and cloud-based voice texting.
