The first rumors regarding the 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport started surfacing last month, and today we've learned the new hardcore model might show up at the Los Angeles auto show this year. As previously reported, the 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport will have the 3.4-litre 6-cylinder engine with an output of just over 330 hp and will be between 70 and 80 kg lighter than the standard version. The manufacturer will reduce the weight of the 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport by replacing the door handles with leather straps, lighter wheels and aluminum body panels.

The 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport will also have a 20 mm lower ride height, bigger brakes and will have the option of the Sports Chrono Package and

the PDK transmission. Other goodies shipped with the 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport include sport bucket seats, a new rear diffuser, a locking rear differential and get this a package especially designed for track use. If you choose this package, the 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport will get a roll cage, a harness and a fire extinguisher system.

It has been confirmed that the 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport will also spot a new aerodynamics package with a new front fascia and a larger rear spoiler.

The price for the new 2012 Porsche Cayman Clubsport will revolve around the 50,000 EUR mark.
