Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS: Specs and Price

Porsche revealed today the GTS versions of the new Cayman and the Boxster. The German carmaker released all the specs and the pricing information of both cars. Both, the Porsche Cayman GTS and the Porsche Boxster GTS are powered by the same 3.4-litre flat 6-cylinder engine, but they have different horsepower and torque outputs. The Porsche Cayman GTS develops 340 hp (250 kW) and 380 Nm of torque. The Cayman GTS is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 177 mph. This is 0.3 seconds faster than the Cayman S. Porsche's official specs say that the Cayman GTS offers a fuel consumption of 34.4 mpg with the PDK gearbox and 31.4 mpg with the manual transmission.

On the other hand, the open-top Porsche Boxster GTS develops 330 hp (243 kW) and 370 Nm of torque. The Boxster GTS needs 4.7 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) and it has a top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h). Porsche's specifications say that the Boxster GTS offers 34.4 mpg (PDK) or 31.4 mpg (manual).

Both the Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS come equipped with the Sport Chrono package and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard, as well as a Launch Control function engaged via the Sport Plus button. Both are available with the optional Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) 7-speed double-clutch gearbox or a standard 6-speed manual. Both the Porsche Cayman GTS and Boxster GTS come with a 20 mm lowered suspension, 20-inch alloys, a distinctive front spoiler, Bi-Xenon headlights, and the Dynamic Light System (PDLS) as standard.

The Porsche Boxster GTS's price is set at £52,879, while the Cayman GTS is going to cost you at least £55,397. Porsche has already put both models on sale, but the first deliveries will commence in May.
