The world debut of the 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder takes place today at the 2015 New York International Auto Show. with this occasion, Porsche announced the 2016 Boxster Spyder's price as well as its full specifications and it equipment list. Just as its predecessor, Porsche's 2016 Boxster Spyder comes equipped with a manually-operated classic fabric roof. The new Boxster Spyder is powered by a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine that develops 375 hp (276 kW). The power is sent to the rear wheels via a manual gearbox. In comparison to the regular Porsche Boxster, the Spyder features a 20-mm lowered suspension system and bigger brakes taken from the 911 Carrera. According to the official specifications, the new Porsche Boxster Spyder (2016) is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 290 km/h.
Its fuel consumption is rated at 9.9 l/100 km (NEDC).
In terms of design, the 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder features the same front and rear as the Cayman GT4. At the interior, it features sport bucket seats with large side supports, and a bespoke steering wheel measuring 360 mm in diameter. The new Boxster Spyder (2016) is not equipped with a radio, air conditioning. However they are available for ordering as optional extras. The 2016 Boxster Spyder's options list also includes the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, the complete range of audio systems, and others.
The 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder's price list starts at 79,945 Euro(including sales tax and country-specific equipment features). The model is already available for ordering. In the United States, the 2016 Boxster Spyder is going to cost you at least $82,100.
