One of today's rumors says that the German company is working on a Porsche Boxster R. The Porsche Boxster R is said to be a harder and sportier version of the car, which will be unveiled towards the end of the year. From recent spy photos, can be seen that the Porsche Boxster R has a lower ride height, a new front bumper, newly designed air intakes and apparently a larger rear spoiler. The Porsche Boxster R also seems to have a roll-cage and the company has hidden something on the rear of the car with a large hump.
The source says the Porsche Boxster R will be powered by 3.4-litre six-cylinder engine that will develop around 320 hp. The Porsche Boxster R will be fitted with a sportier suspension, carbon ceramic brakes and new alloy wheels.
The Porsche Boxster R is expected to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show and to go on sale next year. The Porsche Boxster R price will be just under 160,000 Euros.
