With a very appealing exterior, and an interior, which frankly could use a little bit more work, the Megane RS has reached its 2012 facelifted life stage. The 2012 Renault Megane RS comes with several styling upgrades, but the part we're more interested in is the 15 hp power increase and the 20 extra Nm of torque. The facelifted version is called the Megane Renaultsport 265, which comes from its total output of 265 hp and 360 Nm of torque. In case you're wondering, that's just under the amount of torque a Mitsubishi Evo X develops.
The extra power is not the only reason Renault revised the engine for the 2012 Megane RS. They also managed to get a more satisfying sound out of it too.
The 2012 Megane RS 265 now comes with a more open exhaust system and a reinforced sound pipe.
The 2012 Megane RS 265 features two rows of six LEDs, black surrounds around the headlights, 18- or 19-inch alloys, and "go-faster" red stripes. The same red theme is carried on to the interior of the new Megane RS 265. The leather Recaro seats, red stitching, and black lacquer finish come to complete the overall high-performance look of the 2012 Megane RS.
