Volvo revealed today the new generation 2015 XC90. The carmaker released today the 2015 Volvo XC90's complete specifications and its full equipment list. The 2015 XC90's price and availability are going to be announced at a later date. The 2015 XC90 shows the new face of Volvo, which comes with a new trademark design feature: T-shaped "Thor's Hammer" DRL lights. Really? "Thor" lights? As always, Volvo puts safety first. The 2015 XC90 comes with a range of safety innovations, such as the run-off road protection package and the auto brake at intersection capability. Apart from the new exterior design, the new Volvo XC90 (2015) offers completely new interior styling too. It comes with seven seats. The third row of seats can accommodate passengers up to 170 cm tall.
Volvo's 2015 XC90 offers two optional packages, called Urban Luxury and Rugged Luxury.
2015 Volvo XC90 Engines:
- T6 AWD: 2.0-liter, 236 kW (320 hp) at 5,700 rpm, 400 Nm between 2,200 rpm and 4,500 rpm, 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.9 seconds, 230 km/h top speed, 7.7 liters / 100 km, 179 g/km CO2;
- D5 AWD: 2.0-liter, 165 kW (225 hp) at 4,250 rpm, 470 Nm between 1,750 rpm and 2,500 rpm, 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 7.8 seconds, 220 km/h top speed, 5.8 liters / 100 km, 152 g/km CO2.
Both engines of the 2015 Volvo XC90 are mated to an all-wheel-drive system via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
