VW revealed at the end of last week the updated 2016 Volkswagen Scirocco GTS, which comes with new looks and a bit more power. Visually, the 2016 VW Scirocco GTS features a new front bumper with integrated fog lights, LED DRLs and turn signals, a new grille and redesigned headlights. The rear of the new 2016 Scirocco GTS shows a restyled bumper, new LED lights and a roof spoiler. The interior of the new Volkswagen Scirocco GTS (2016) remained pretty much unchanged, except for the colors and a new other minor styling changes. The version of the car is powered by the same 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged engine as the first generation of the Volkswagen Scirocco GTS. However, the 2016 version of the car comes with 10 extra horsepower, for a total of 220 hp (162 kW).
With the 6-speed DSG transmission, the new Scirocco GTS (2016) is able to accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.5 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 246 km/h. The official specifications state that the 2016 Scirocco GTS offers a 6.1 l/100 km (6.4 l/100 km DSG) fuel consumption.
