AC Schnitzer revealed today their aftermarket program for the latest generation, 2012, BMW 6 Series Convertible, which will have its debut at the 2011 IAA auto show in Frankfurt, next week. AC Schnitzer's 6 Series Convertible show car will be based on the 650i version of the model, which receives a very serious power upgrade. From the standard 407 hp, AC Schnitzer upgrades the 2012 BMW 650i to 540 hp (397 kW), with the help of a new exhaust system and a re-mapped ECU. The AC Schnitzer 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible comes with a new body kit, featuring a new front spoiler, a radiator grille, and a rear skirt protected by a special foil.
AC Schnitzer also upgrades the brakes of the 650i cabrio, which now has 8-piston high performance
calipers on the front axle. The modified convertible sits on 21 inch wheels (19-inch and 20-inch available too) and new springs.
For the interior of the 2012 650i, AC Schnitzer is offering a new steering wheel with airbag, an aluminum cover for the iDrive controller, aluminum pedals, and new floor mats.
