The "on sale" date was not very clear so BMW made it CLEAR today: the 2008 BMW 6 Series Coupe and Convertible will go on sale in UK on Saturday 27 October, 2007.

BMW Press Release:

Further to the release sent out on Wednesday 3 October, BMW UK would like to clarify that the on-sale date of the new BMW 6 Series Coupe and Convertible is Saturday 27 October.

The launch of the new 6 Series Coupe and Convertible at the end of the month follows September’s introduction of new 1, 3 and 5 Series, Z4, X3 and X5 models featuring BMW’s EfficientDynamics technologies. The new 318d now emits an ecologically-responsible 123g/km while the 520d – the benchmark executive car – now emits only 136g/km. Even the X5, BMW’s class-leading

Sports Activity Vehicle, has received Brake Energy Regeneration from BMW’s EfficientDynamics programme. This enables the 3.0d model to emit a congestion charge-friendly 214g/km.

Mid-November sees the all-new BMW X5 3.0sd arrive in showrooms. Using the world’s most powerful six-cylinder diesel engine, previously seen in the 335d and 535d, the new BMW X5 3.0sd delivers 286hp from its twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel. However, in common with other EfficientDynamics-equipped cars, emissions are kept to a minimum with the new X5 3.0sd only emitting 216g/km and therefore heading for an

£8.00 per day London congestion charge under the proposed changes in London. All other petrol and diesel-powered competitor SUVs and SAV’s will be charged £25 under the new proposals.

November 24 marks the on-sale date of the new 1 Series Coupe. The third derivative of the 1 Series launches with an entry-level four-cylinder 120d and twin-turbocharged 123d. The world’s most powerful four-cylinder diesel engine delivers over 100hp per litre from its 2.0-litre engine. The range is topped by the new 135i Coupe. Using BMW’s benchmark twin-turbocharged petrol-powered

3.0-litre engine, crowned International Engine of the Year 2007, the new flagship 1 Series is set to appeal to a younger audience focussed on sportier driving.
