The Italian carmakers from ATS revealed today the first details and images of their new model, called the 300 Leggera Spider. The ATS 300 Leggera is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine that develops 200 hp. This doesn't seem like much, but you have to take into consideration the fact that the ATS 300 Leggera weighs just 650 kg. This means it could offer some serious performance figures. ATS is going to sell the 300 Leggera without any help from electronic systems like EBD or traction control. ATS plans to build the 300 Leggera according to each customer's specifications. Its price is set at 30,000 EUR. The ATS 300 Leggera is a two-seat sports car, with a classic design, and with a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture.
ATS says that the 300 Leggera is going to be available on the European and North American markets. The first units will be available for delivery sometime next year.
