Abarth KTM X Bow

The journalists from AutoExpress claim they have it on good authority that Fiat's factory tuning branch, Abarth, is planning to build a new model based on the KTM X-Bow. The new Abarth KTM X-Bow is set to go against the Lotus Exige in the near future. Currently, the KTM X-Bow is powered by an Audi TT engine, and audi is owned by VW, so we can hardly believe VW is going to sell engines to Fiat for a new model. However, the British journalists say the Abarth KTM X-Bow will have one of fiat's engines - the 1.8-litre MultiAir turbo petrol engine that's good for around 200 hp.

According to our sources, senior members of the company said the Abarth KTM X-Bow will be a limited edition model, with two seats and an engine mounted in the middles.

The new model is expected to hit the market in 2013, but the Abarth KTM X-Bow price is not known yet.

The Abarth KTM X-Bow will keep the carbon fiber monocoque chassis, however, the exterior design will be more... Italian and less... E.T.

The Abarth KTM X-Bow is expected to be a more comfortable car than it's base model,

which is basically a track car for the road. This means it will have a proper windscreen, air conditioning and other luxuries. This will add weight to the car, so the performance of the Abarth KTM X-Bow is expected to drop in comparison to the standard X-Bow.
