This year has a special significance for Aston Martin and its Le Mans racing history. Fifty years ago Aston Martin was winning its first Le Mans race with Roy Salvadori and Carroll Shelby.
This year Aston Martin will bring for the first time at Le Mans 2009 three cars in the LMP1 category. All three Aston Martin racers will be powered by the same V12 engine that has taken the company to two consecutive wins in the GT1 class.
The company says the Le Mans 2009 race is a challenge bigger than it has ever been, its entire team is determined to do everything possible to finish on top.
