Prodrive boss David Richards said his company is currently negotiating with Cosworth as an engine supplier. Aston Martin's entrance in Formula 1 is based on Bernie Ecclestone's promise of a 30 million pounds aid to put three new teams on the starting line. Richards believes this is a great moment to enter Formula 1 and that it would be benefic for it to become a championship for engineers rather than a race between the teams with the most money.
Prodrive's announcement to enter Aston Martin in Formula 1 comes just a day after another team announced its participation, Lola.
