Audi A1 Allroad Info

 »  »  »

The German press has released new Audi A1 Allroad info which says the Ingolstadt manufacturer is discussing the possibility of building this model. The Audi A1 Allroad will be based on the five-door version of the model and not the three-door which will hit the showrooms soon. The 5-door version of the Audi A1 is expected in the fall of 2011. This means the Audi A1 Allroad will probably become a reality around 2013.

The manufacturer will use the same recipe for the Audi A1 Allroad as the one used for the "off-road" version of the A4. The new version will have an increased ride height, a different suspension settings and probably a tougher shield underneath.

The Audi A1 Allroad will probably be front-wheel-drive and will not use the company's quattro AWD technology. This tactic will keep the price of the car to a reasonable level taking into account its market niche.

This info is pure speculative3 at the moment, but a Audi A1 Allroad is not entirely out of the question since the brand’s mother company, Volkswagen, has already done it with the CrossPolo.
