Every year, the Worthersee show represents a Mecca for every Audi and Volkswagen enthusiast across Europe. For this reason VW Group, which includes Audi among others, is always trying to impress its fans with an especially built vehicle. This year, Audi will bring a truly special version of the A1. The Audi A1 clubsport quattro is powered by the 2.5 TFSI engine that has been upgraded to output an incredible 503 hp (370 kW) between 2,500 and 5,300 rpm and 660 Nm (486.79 lb-ft) of torque. Just imagine what 500 hp can do in a car this size, that weighs only 1,390 kilograms (3,064 lb).

Audi's official specs list say that the A1 clubsport quattro is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.7 seconds and from

0 to 124.27 mph (200 km/h) in just 10.9 seconds. The top speed of Audi's A1 clubsport quattro is limited to 155.34 mph (250 km/h), but the car's speedometer tell a very different story. It goes up to 350 km/h!

With the A1 clubsport, Audi went for a six-speed manual transmission and it's quattro permanent all-wheel drive system.

To make the power of the A1 clubsport manageable, Audi gave it bigger brakes, a new suspension and updated aerodynamics. The A1 clubsport quattro comes with 255/30 low-profile tires covering 19 inch rims, six-piston calipers on the front with ceramic brakes discs and an adjustable coilover suspension.

The Audi A1 clubsport is 60 millimeters wider than the factory version, and it comes with a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer roof. The car features a new front spoiler, with large, split air intakes with carbon struts, a new grill and side skirts and a huge roof wing.

The Audi A1 clubsport also features a new rear spoiler with an integrated diffuser.

The interior of the Audi A1 clubsport also shows extensive modifications, with leather, stainless steel and exposed carbon fiber parts.

The Audi A1 clubsport quattro falls in line with a range of other extreme rides presented at Worthersee by VW. One of them is the Volkswagen Golf GTI W12 650 presented back in 2007.
