According to various sources, The Ingolstadt manufacturer is preparing the Audi A1S. The newly revealed Audi A1S info says it will be a performance version of the new mini which will be based on one of the concepts presented at this year's Worthersee event. The Audi A1S will not just be faster than the current versions of the model, but it will also feature the company's quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Apparently, the base platform of the Audi A1S offers enough room to fit in both the quattro system and a larger engine from the A3. The 2.0T will fit easily under the shell of the Audi A1S, however, the four-wheel-drive system will raise a few issues. Audi's quattro system will have to undergo a few changes to be able to fit in the small Audi A1S.
If the Audi A1S will become a reality, it could very well output more than 200 hp, which is quite a lot for a car this size.
