BMW 1 Series M Coupe Debut

 »  »  »

According to various sources, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe debut has been set for December 2010, after which the new performance model will be premiered at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2011. The BMW 1 Series M Coupe debut date has not been officially confirmed, so at this point, this is pure speculation. You won't be able to get the first BMW 1 Series M Coupe review until March next year, when the press will start getting invited to drive the new M car.

Europe will have the first chance to see the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe at the 2011 Geneva auto show next spring, before the car will go on sale next summer.

The first deliveries of the BMW 1 Series M Coupe are expected to begin next fall, so there's still a long time before we'll see the new M beast on public roads.

Early details say the new M will have a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine that will send 350 hp to the rear wheels. It will probably offer a choice between a manual and an automatic transmission and it will be able to get from o to 100 km/h in around 5 seconds.
