As the days pass, more and more BMW 1 Series M Coupe specs surface which means the full unveiling of the new performance model is not very far away. What we know so far is that the BMW 1 Series M Coupe will be powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine that also powers the Z4 sDrive35iS. This means the BMW 1 Series M Coupe develops 350 hp, which is 50 hp more than the top of the range 135i. The BMW 1 Series M Coupe weighs less than 1450 kg which means its performance figures will be quite something. Apparently, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe needs only 5 seconds to reach 100 km/h. It's top speed however, will be limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).
The newly leaked BMW 1 Series M Coupe specs say
its engine is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission, as a true driver's car should always be. The German carmaker is said to also offer a dual-clutch transmission for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe, but it will come as an optional extra.
The BMW 1 Series M Coupe will have a limited slip differential, a stiffer suspension setting and more powerful brakes.
The BMW 1 Series M Coupe is also expected to have a modified aerodynamics kit, with wider fenders, re-style front and rear bumpers and probably side skirts too.
The BMW 1 Series M Coupe price is expected to fall in the 45,000 Euro category.
