Here's a quick update. The manufacturer has announced today BMW 1 Series M Coupe debut and various new details regarding the model. They have also released a number of new images of the BMW 1 Series M Coupe. Yes, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe loses more of its camo and now we have the chance to see its hood and lower front grille. From the looks of things, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe might get carbon ceramic brakes and from what the company announces, it will be 80 mm wider than the 135i.

The BMW 1 Series M Coupe will be powered by the 3.0 liter inline six cylinder bi turbo engine developing 340 hp. The BMW 1 Series M Coupe will only be available with a six speed manual gearbox.

The manufacturer says the BMW 1 Series M Coupe will be very similar to the M3 in terms of chassis, brakes, and rear differential. Early official estimates say the BMW 1 Series M Coupe will weigh around 1,500 kg and that it will be 10 seconds faster on the Nurburgring in comparison to the M3 E46.

The full BMW 1 Series M Coupe specs will be announced at the middle of December and the new performance model's world premiere will take place at the at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2011.



The first deliveries of the BMW 1 Series M Coupe will begin in early summer, in 2011.
