The traditional BMW tuner has announced today that it will market the BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo in UK. The BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo, which is based on the new generation of the 5 Series, is powered by a V8 engine equipped by Honeywell-Garrett bespoke exhaust turbines that develops 507 hp and 700 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. With this monster engine, the BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo can reach a top speed of 191 mph and needs only 4.7 seconds to reach 62 mph. If the 'green' figure are the one that interest you, the BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo has a 26.2 mpg official combined fuel consumption and a 252 g/km CO2 emissions level.

The engine of the BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo is coupled with a new switchable eight-speed automatic transmission. The car is also fitted

with adjustable electronic dampers that have been re-tuned to accommodate the larger 20 inch alloys.

The British version of the BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo also comes with a slightly tweaked aerodynamics package and various interior styling trim elements.

Following its worldwide launch at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed, the keenly anticipated ALPINA counterpart of the new BMW 5-Series saloon is now available in the UK.

First deliveries of the B5 Bi-Turbo start later this year with availability through Sytner, UK concessionaires for ALPINA.
