Bertone has revealed in the latest part of the Inside Project M documentary that their latest model will be based on the Corvette ZR1. The clip shows designer John Castriota explaining a number of aspects of the new Bertone Project M model. The Bertone Project M will not be a showcar, but a super performance car that will have a light and strong construction and will employ the use of a lot of carbon fiber and other light weight materials. what Bertone found out about the Corvette ZR1 while stripping it down is the fact that the hood air intake is not functional, so it won't be present on the Bertone Project M.
Recently Berttone announced that it will unveil a new car at this year's Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, so we might see the Bertone Project M there.
