These Corvette ZR1 Nurburgring photos released by General Motors have been taken while the new ZR1 was lapping the famous race track. On June 27th this year the Corvette ZR1 managed a 7 minutes 26.4 seconds lap time of the Nordschleife. This record attempt was a response to Nissan GT-R's time of 7:29.
As seen in the photos, the Corvette ZR1 used for the lap was a bit modified and featured a roll cage and Sparco bucket seats.
Although those shots were not taken during 'the lap', they will probably make a good desktop wallpaper.
