Carlsson are some of the first tuners to develop an aftermarket program for the new generation 2012 Mercedes SLK R172. Carlsson's program for the 2012 SLK includes both visual and performance upgrades for all of the versions. Carlsson's aerodynamics kit for the Mercedes SLK 2012 includes a front spoiler and a rear apron insert, front spoiler lip that's also available in carbon fiber, stainless steel front grille inserts, and a rear diffuser.
The Carlsson 2012 Mercedes SLK comes equipped with a bespoke exhaust system featuring a stainless steel sports silencer with two pipes, a suspension lowering kit, and 20 inch light alloy wheels. For the interior of the 2012 SLK, Carlsson offers a Nappa leather upholstery,
aluminum pedals, and various Alcantara, wood and carbon trim parts.
For an increased power output, Carlsson offers the C-Tronic power kit for the CGI engines, that increases the output of the 2012 Mercedes SLK between 27 and 40 hp. Carlsson's version of the 2012 SLK 200 CGI develops 211 hp (155 kW) or 224 hp (165 kW), and the 2012 SLK 250 CGI outputs from 231 hp (170 kW) to 239 hp (165 kW).
