Mercedes announced today the price list of the 2012 SLK roadster for the USA market, where it went on sale this month. Merc's 2012 SLK roadster comes with several new features, including a special convertible roof panel, called MAGIC SKY CONTROL. The standard roof of the 2012 SLK is made of body-color polycarbonate, but Mercedes is also offering a an optional Panorama Roof that has a see-through panel. The MAGIC SKY CONTROL roof features a special tinting of the see-through panel, that can be changed by the occupants.
The 2012 Mercedes SLK will be available in the United States as the SLK350, which comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with direct injection and multi-spark ignition. This engine has an output
of 302 hp and 273 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2012 Mercedes SLK250 is powered by a smaller 1.8-liter direct injection 4-cylinder turbo engine with 201 hp and 229 lb.-ft. of torque.
The equipment list of the 2012 Mercedes SLK includes the AIRSCARF and AIRGUIDE systems, ATTENTION ASSIST and a newly developed transmission.
