Dacia Lodgy Preview

 »  »  »

Back in November, Renault presented the Dacia Lodgy Glace racecar, which was going to race in the Andros Trophy. The new Dacia rally car is based on a new production MPV that was just revealed today. The Dacia Lodgy MPV will have its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March this year, and it will probably go on sale in 2013. Renault gave us a preview of the Lodgy MPV today, by releasing the first two images of the new "people carrier". The Lodgy will be the seventh model in the Dacia range, which also includes the Duster, the Sandero and Sandero Stepway, the Logan (sedan, MPV and pickup).

The Dacia Lodgy will be available in two configurations: with five and with seven seats.

Dacia promises that the Lodgy will be just as versatile and affordable as all its other models. It will have plenty of interior space, thanks to its 4.5 meters length and a generous boot.

So far, Dacia did not release any technical details regarding the new Lodgy. However, we can make a few speculations. The Lodgy is going to be available with both petrol and diesel engines, a manual gearbox and with front-wheel-drive only. Expect its price to be on the low to very low side.

We'll have more information on the Dacia Lodgy as soon as Renault releases it.
