The specialists from EDO Competition revealed today their Black Arrow aftermarket program for the Mercedes SLR McLaren 722. As it's always the case with EDO Competition, the tuning kit offers a substantial power increase and updates looks for the German hyper car. For starters, the supercharged V8 engine of the Mercedes SLR is upgraded in EDO's Black Arrow to output 722 hp 7,100 rpm and 890 Nm (656 lb-ft) of torque. to get this high output, the EDO Mercedes SLR features a modified supercharger drive ratio, a remapped ECU, revised intake system, new exhaust headers, high flow catalytic converters and air filters.
The extra ponies under the hood of EDO's Mercedes SLR Black Arrow translate into a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h)
acceleration time of 3.4 seconds and a 0 to 186 mph (300 km/h) sprint of 24.5 seconds. EDO limited the top speed of the SLR Black Arrow to 345 km/h (214 mph). We're wondering what it could if set free.
At the exterior, the EDO Mercedes SLR Black Arrow features a unique black paint scheme, a new stainless steel high-performance exhaust system, and 21 inch racing wheels. The interior of the EDO Black Arrow is all about carbon fiber. The dashboard, center console and door panels of the
Mercedes SLR are all made of the stuff. The car also comes with An Alcantara covered steering wheel and shift paddles and sport bucket seats.
EDO Competition did not announce the price of the Mercedes SLR Black Arrow.
