This Mercedes SLR special edition video was shot on a race track and presents a new prototype, that is definitely based on the SLR with the roof removed. Various websites reported that this new Mercedes SLR special edition will be limited to under 100 units and will be capable of speed in excess of 200 mph.
The Mercedes SLR special edition resembles Sir Stirling Moss' 300 SLR speedster with which he won the Mille Miglia race back in 1955. The new SLR wears the starting time of that race in it's name - 7:22.
