EDS Press Release:

Double power by EDS Fahrzeugtechnik
Vehicle: Opel Astra J Turbo with 360 hp and Schmidt alloy wheels

The company EDS Fahrzeugtechnik from Marl has taken an Opel Astra J Turbo with 180 HP as a base vehicle, and doubled the rated power using traditional engine tuning.

In details, the following components of the engine were removed, replaced and re-installed: Pressure reducing high-performance needle valve – 980 Euro, high-quality steel connecting rod – 550 Euro, HG Motorsport turbo manifold – 1200 Euro, EDS high-performance charge air cooler – 600 Euro, Garret GT28 turbocharger – 1000 Euro, 100 mm air-flow meter – 300 Euro, 550 cm3 injectors – 500 Euro, 70 mm down pipe with HJS 200CPSI Sport catalyst – 800 Euro, Friedrich Motorsport 70 mm stainless steel exhaust system – 800 Euro, 240 mm EDS Sport clutch kit – 1100 Euro and Quaife differential lock – 900 Euro. The engine adjustment by EDS Fahrzeugtechnik costs 1000 Euros.

As a result of this expensive action, unusually agile 360 hp and a maximum torque of 480 Nm are now available in the Astra specifications.

To slow down this doubled compared to the standard performance, perforated brake discs in dimension of 356 x 32 mm with 8-piston calipers and high-performance steel braided brake lines at a price of 2000 Euro are used.

Once again it is an adequate wheel / tire combination, bringing the power to the road. Jack-line rims with “Titan” cirrus decorative parts in 8.5 x 20 inch front and 9.5 x 20 inches taken from the seemingly inexhaustible arsenal of Schmidt Revolution from Bad Segeberg with Pirelli P.Zero 235/35ZR20 the front and 275/30ZR20 on the

rear axle at a total price of 3200 Euro are worthy of the special attention. The prepared Cirrus decorative parts are available in eight different colors – black, chrome, carbon, red, silver, titanium, white and yellow through the web-site www.FELGE.de. The overall picture is undoubtedly a feast for the eyes.

The final assembly of all parts costs additional 2500 Euro. The bottom line is certainly not chicken feed, but this conversion does not do anything for the individualization of the vehicle...
