Ferrari launched this week a promotional clip for the new 458 Spider, which had its world debut at the Frankfurt auto show, in Germany. The new commercial features various driving scenes, combined with a dramatic soundtrack. The advert also shows the process of opening / closing the hard-top roof of the 458 Spider. Although the Prancing Horse is already advertising the new 458 Spider, they did not announce its price, nor the date when it will be available for ordering.
The Ferrari 458 Spider is one of the first vehicles of its kind to feature a hard-top roof, instead of the traditional canvas one. The 458 Spider's hard-top offers several advantages over a soft-top, including better insulation and sound proofing, increased rigidity and a lower weight.
The Ferrari 458 Spider is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine developing 570 hp and 540 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of more than 320 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint of less than 3.4 seconds.
