Pininfarina revealed at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show the new 2013 Sergio Concept, to celebrate to man who led the company for 40 years. The Pininfarina Sergio Concept also celebrates the collaboration between the Italia design house and Ferrari. The Pininfarina Sergio is a two-seater barchetta, which based on the Ferrari 458 Spider. The overall design of the Sergio is inspired by the concept Pininfarina made for the Ferraris of the '60s and '70s. Pininfarina's Sergio concept measures 4,550 mm in length, 1,940 mm in width, 1,140 mm in height and it has a 110-liter boot. The Sergio concept weighs 1,280 kg and it has the same chassis and engine as the 458 Italia Spider. This means its power comes from a 4499cc V8 engine that puts out 570 hp (425 kW) at 9000 rpm and 540 Nm (398 lbs/ft) of torque at 6000 rpm.

With this engine, the Pininfarina Sergio gets from nought to 62 mph (100 km/h) in less than 3.4 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 320 km/h. The engine of the Sergio Concept is coupled with the same 7-speed sequential gearbox that's found in the 480 Spider.

Pininfarina that even though the Sergio Concept looks a bit radical, it can be built in a small series.
