Ford revealed today at the LA auto show the new Edge concept, which previews of the future generation of the large SUV. The next-gen Ford Edge is expected to come in about two years' time and it will probably look almost identical to the concept presented today. The production version of today's Ford Edge concept is going to be sold worldwide and it will come equipped with self-parking, obstacle avoidance systems, adaptive steering. The future Ford Edge will also be equipped with Active park assist, a Lane-Keeping System, adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support, and a Blind Spot Information System. In comparison to the current version of the Ford Edge, the concept comes with a completely new exterior and interior design, LED headlights and DRLs, Active Grille Shutters and air curtains.

The production version of the 2013 Ford Edge concept is going to be powered by the next generation of EcoBoost engines and it will come with start-stop technology to improve the SUV's fuel economy.

At the interior, the 2013 Ford Edge concept features a leather instrument panel, a 10-inch touch screen center display with MyFord Touch, a dynamic center stack, a newly designed gear shifter, and a unique steering wheel.
