GM announced its plans to go online with their marketing and the fact that it takes into consideration selling cars on eBay. According to a recent rumor the U.S. auto giant has currently opened talks with eBay regarding the feasibility of the project.
GM big boss Fritz Henderson said customers will be able to buy cars from eBay at a set price and even auction some of the units.
Henderson also said eBay is not the only alternative taken into account. GM is working with its dealers on several ideas on which they will build in the future.
Henderson considers the four brands of GM, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC, need to go innovative to be able to sell cars in the future and also confirmed that the dealerships number will be cut from 6000 to 3600.
