The Ginetta G40 has been unveiled today at the Autosport International exhibition at Birmingham's NEC. The Ginetta G40 is the first British multi-platform road and race car and will have its debut at the BTCC-supporting 2010 Ginetta Junior Championship.
The Ginetta G40 weighs only 850 kg and is powered by a 1.8-liter sealed Zetec engine. Some of the highlights of the Ginetta G40 include a new safety cage that's around 50 times stronger than the minimum 2009 FIA homologation regulations, new front and rear crash zones, updated side impact bars and an increased occupant safety and visibility.
The Ginetta G40 price starts at 24,950 GBP and the company plans to build an initial batch of 26 units.
