Honda revealed at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto show the new FCEV concept. The FCEV previews Honda's next-generation fuel-cell vehicle, which is scheduled for launch in the U.S. and Japan in 2015. Europe will follow. The Honda FCEV is the first vehicle to house its fuel-cell powertrain directly in the engine room. This allows for more space in the cabin and a more generous luggage compartment. In comparison to the FCX Clarity, the Honda FCEV has a 60% improved power density and a 33% smaller stack. Honda estimates that the FCEV is going to have a range of more than 300 miles and that you'll be able to refuel it in around 3 minutes at a pressure of 70 MPa. The Honda FCEV offers five seats and futuristic exterior design.
We'll have more details about the FCEV as soon as Honda makes them available.
