Honda revealed at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit their new Urban SUV Concept. The new Honda Urban SUV Concept previews a future small model that's scheduled to be launched in at the end of 2013 in Japan and in the US in 2014. Eventually, Honda plans to sell the new small SUV in Europe too. The new Urban SUV is based on Honda's Global Compact Series platform and it's powered by the new fuel-efficient Earth Dreams Technology. The new Urban SUV is going to have the center-tank layout and it will benefit from Honda's Magic Seats technology. This enables various seat configurations to fit any needs. With coupe-like styling, Honda's Urban SUV measures 169.3 inches in length, which means it's nine inches shorter than the CR-V.

Honda says that the new Urban SUV is going to be equipped with next-generation telematics and a modern interior.

Honda plans to sell the production version of the new Urban SUV with a choice between three types of powertrains: petrol, diesel and a hybrid. We'll have all the details and specifications of the Urban SUV as soon as Honda makes them available.
