Honda Civic Type R Concept Revealed

 »  »  »

The new Honda Civic Type R concept, which had its debut this year at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, has to be one of the best looking ones we've seen in a long time. The 2015 Honda Civic Type R concept is powered by a 2.0-liter direct injection, four-cylinder turbo engine with VTEC TURBO technology. This means that the new 2015 Civic Type R is going to have a power output of 280 hp. Honda says that the production version of the new Civic Type R concept is going to be a race car for the road. The 2015 Civic Type R is going to have an even more aggressive looking front fascia, with a massive bumper and slipper, integrated LED fog lights and DRLs, a modified hood with vents for cooling the engine bay. The new Honda Civic Type R is also fitted with lower side skirts, a modified bumper with an integrated diffuser and a monster rear wing with integrated rear lights.

There are also wider wheel arches with vents for cooling the brakes. Most of these aerodynamic parts are made of carbon fiber. |We hope this feature is going to get transferred to the production version. The Honda Civic Type R sits on 20-inch alloys and Brembo brakes with ventilated and drilled discs.
