The future generation 2016 Honda Civic Type R was recently spied during testing on the Nurburgring racetrack in Germany. Honda is expected to premiere the new Civic Type R sometime in 2015. The Japanese carmaker has recently confirmed that the 2016 Civic Type R is going to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with direct injection, that's expected to have an output of at least 280 PS. Honda is aiming to make the future Civic Type R (2016) the fastest front-wheel-drive car around the 'Green Hell'. Currently, Honda is testing the 2016 Civic Type R on the Nurburgring, but the car is nowhere near production form. Judging from these photos, the 2016 Civic Type R is going to have a more aggressive aerodynamic package, with new front and rear spoilers, side skirts, and a massive rear wings.

The future Type R will come with a new exhaust system with four huge tail pipes, located on each side of the hatch.
