The 2017 Honda Civic hatchback concept had its world debut today, during the opening of the 2016 NY International Auto Show. So far, the Japanese carmaker did not disclose a whole lot of technical specifications regarding the new version of the popular hatch. However, they do mention that the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback concept is powered by a new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Optionally, you'll be able to equip your 2017 Civic with a CVT gearbox. The production version of the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback is going to come later this year. Honda's 2017 Civic hatchback is built on the same platform as the sedan version of the model.

In terms of design, the 2017 Honda Civic hatchback concept comes with a completely new front and rear styling.

It features rigged bumpers, LED headlights, a redesigned rear end and a central exhaust system with two tailpipes. So far, Honda did not release any images of the 2017 Civic hatchback's interior.
