Honda released today the first image of the 2014 Civic WTCC, which is going to compete in the World Touring Car Championship next year. Unfortunately, Honda did not disclose any technical details regarding the new 2014 Civic WTCC racer. However, The Japanese carmaker says that the new WTCC Civic (2014) complies with the new regulation of FIA. The 2014 Honda Civic WTCC is based on the hatchback version of the model and it comes with a widebody aero package. The new body kit of the 2014 Civic WTCC includes wider wheel arches which vents for the brakes, a more aggressive front bumper with a carbon splitter, side skirts, a new hood with a large scoop and a massive rear wing. Even though it can be seen in this photo, we're sure that the new Honda Civic WTCC (2014) has a huge rear diffuser too.

At the interior, the 2014 WTCC Civic features a sport bucket seat and a visible roll cage.

JAS Motorsport is going to enter two 2014 Honda Civic WTCC race cars in next year's season. The drivers are going to be Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro. Other teams that will compete with the 2014 Civic WTCC include Zengo Motorsport and Proteam Racing.
