Honda revealed recently a new version of the Civic that promises outstanding fuel economy and CO2 emissions. Powered by a 1.6-liter i-DTEC engine, the new Civic version is rated with a fuel consumption of 78.5 mpg on the combined cycle and a 94 g/km CO2 emissions level. At the same time, the Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC offers an output of 120PS at 4,000rpm and 300Nm of torque at 2,000rpm. In a car its size, these 120 PS could prove to be quite fun. Honda's 1.6 i-DTEC Civic comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and it's going to be available in three versions: SE price from £19,400, ES, which is going to cost you at least £20,595, and the top of the range EX model, which is going to set you back at least £23,175.

The equipment list of the Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC includes 16-inch alloys, front and rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming rear view mirror and DAB digital radio. The new 1.6 i-DTEC Civic is going on sale this January.
