Honda has revealed this year at the Detroit auto show the new 2012 Honda Civic Sedan concept together with its hatchback version, the 2012 Honda Civic Si concept. If Honda will decide to continue the tradition of the Civic, with the current one being almost identical to its concept, the new 2012 Honda Civic will have a serious market success.

Honda says the production vehicles previewed by the 2012 Honda Civic Si and the Sedan will feature intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC) technology. The future 2012 Honda Civic hybrid will feature the latest generation Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) gasoline-electric hybrid system. for the first time,

the 2012 Honda Civic hybrid will have a lithium-ion battery. The 2012 Civic will also feature the Eco Assist technology which is already available on the CR-Z.

The safety equipment offered by the 2012 Honda Civic Si and the 2012 Civic Sedan include Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) and the company's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure for frontal collision energy management.



The production version of the 2012 Honda Civic Si concept and of the 2012 Honda Civic Sedan concept will go on sale this spring, however, their price list has not been announced yet.
