At the 2011 Tokyo auto salon, Honda presented its latest interpretation of a city car, which is called the Micro Commuter. The new concept is a tiny three-seater, 1+2 to be exact, measuring 2,500 mm in length, 1,250 mm in width, and 1,430 mm in height. It has a 1,860 mm wheelbase. The 1+2 seating configuration of the Honda Micro Commuter means there's really space only for the driver. It's possible that the other two seats don't offer much comfort.

Naturally, Honda powers the new Micro Commuter with an electric motor (regenerative braking system included), juiced by a 3.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. With an output of 16.7 kW (roughly 22 hp), the new Micro Commuter has a top speed of 60 km/h.

Being a city dweller, the Honda Micro Commuter doesn't really have to go very fast. However, it does require a decent 0-60 km/h acceleration time. The Micro Commuter is rated at 7.4 seconds to 60 km/h. With a range of around 60 km, and requiring about an hour to re-charge, the Micro Commuter could be pretty useful for your daily needs.

The Honda Micro Commuter is fully customizable and it a features a very neat little trick. Its battery can be removed and can power your laptop.
