A member of CarTribe posted today an unofficial Nurburgring lap time for the new Honda NSX prototype. According to a spy photographer the new Honda NSX prototype Nurburgring lap time is 7 minutes and 37 seconds which puts it dangerously close to the GT-R that has an official lap time of 7:29. If the report is accurate we might have a new player in the game for the King of the Ring title.
The current record is held by the Pagani Zonda with 7 minutes and 27 seconds - only 10 seconds faster than the Honda NSX prototype Nurburgring lap time. The new NSX is still in development so we will probably see a few seconds shaved off that lap time when the car will be ready for production.
According to the same post the new Honda NSX will be powered by a V10 engine developing around 550 hp with a maximum speed of 9,000 rpm.
