Hyundai has released the first teaser image of what appears to be a Hyundai Veloster rally car, doing what rally cars do best, jump. It looks like Hyundai's expansion in the motor industry is going to go in a new direction for the company, motorsports, and rallying. The Hyundai Veloster rally car wears the Red Bull livery. Red Bull is a brand known for getting involved in almost all types of motorsport, so Hyundai looks like a good partner for rally racing.

At this point, the company did not release any details regarding the Hyundai Veloster rally car, but they did say enough - it can take off.

The production version of the Hyundai Veloster had its world premiere at the Detroit auto show

this year, and will go on sale in the following months.

The production version of the Hyundai Veloster comes with a 1.6-liter engine developing 138 hp and 123 lb.-ft. of torque. The Hyundai Veloster rally car will probably have the same engine, but with increased output. If they strap a turbo on that engine, it will mean some serious performance.

We'll have further details regarding the Hyundai Veloster rally car on February 9, 2011,

as this is the moment the company says it will completely reveal the new racer.
